Adaora Umeoji was announced as the new Zenith Bank CEO as she sets the record of being the first female Group Managing Director and Chief Executive of Zenith bank since 1990, this announcement was made on the bank’s website on Tuesday. Before her new appointment, Ebenezer Onyeagwu was the CEO in her new position now, who is known to have added much value the the bank and now we are all so eager to see the great impact Adaora Umeoji will add to the bank now.

Although Central bank of Nigeria has announced her appointment but she will start her work fully on June 1, 2024, as Ebenezer Onyeagwu’ five years term will end on March 31, 2024.

Based on the bank statement, Adaora’s appointment as the bank CEO aligns with the bank’s tradition of transitioning executives, succession plan, and strategy of developing leaders internally.
