In February 2022, Mohbad, Zinoleesky, and four other people were caught by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for having illegal drugs like MDMA and cannabis at their home in Lekki, Lagos.

Some videos that went viral on social media showed NDLEA agents breaking into the musicians’ home early Thursday morning in the Lekki area of Lagos State. Witnesses say that the police arrested the Marlian singers without a search warrant and treated them badly. Officers from the NDLEA were seen hitting the musicians with clubs and shooting into the air to force them into cars that were waiting.

NDLEA confirmed the raid by saying, “Our men raided an area in Idado estate where Naira Marley’s boys stay.”Their flat and car were found to have a lot of weed and molly’, he told TheCable Lifestyle. Later, the NDLEA let Mohbad, Zinoleesky, 4 other people, and 3 other people go.

After two years, he told Marlian Records that he was leaving. Mohbad accused singer Naira Marley of domestic abuse on October 5, 2022.
