Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe- Nigerian Business Leader and Banker

Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe is a Nigerian business leader and banker. She was born on July 28, 1964. She is the first woman to be the CEO and managing director of Fidelity Bank Nigeria.

Early years

Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe was born in the state of Anambra in Eastern Nigeria, in the city of Awka. She also lived in Owerri, which is in the state of Imo, and went to school at the Federal Government Girls’ College there.

Education

Onyeali-Ikpe went to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and got a degree in law. King’s College London also gave her a master’s degree in law.

Career: In 1990, she started working as a law officer for the African Continental Bank, which no longer exists. She then worked for the First African Trust Bank as a treasury worker. She later went to work for Zenith Bank and then Standard Chartered Bank.

Enterprise Bank

In 2011, she started working for Enterprise Bank as an executive director in Lagos and other places in Nigeria’s South-Western area.

The Fidelity Bank

In January 2015, Onyeali-Ikpe became an executive director at the business bank Fidelity. In December 2020, Onyeali-Ikpe will take over as the managing director of Fidelity Bank
