Adaora Umeoji Biography- New Zenith Bank CEO

Adaora Umeoji was announced as the new Zenith Bank CEO as she sets the record of being the first female Group Managing Director and Chief Executive of Zenith bank since 1990, this announcement was made on the bank’s website on Tuesday.

She joined the Bank in 1998 and has been given various duties in the bank which has been successful in them all, she joined the board in 2012 and has made incredible impact in all her duties.

Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji OON is widely recognized as a respected Peace Advocate affiliated with the United Nations (UN-POLAC). She has been awarded the prestigious title of Lady of the Order of Knights of St. John International (KSJI) and is recognized as a Papal Knight of the Order of St. Sylvester. It is worth mentioning that Zenith Bank has recently announced the appointment of Adaora Umeoji as its new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (GMD/CEO).

Educational Background

Dr. Adaora Eneoji’s educational background has been a great one that every youth should embrace, as report shows that she has bagged various degrees both in and outside of the country.

Her educational background is just as impressive. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Jos, Plateau State, and later completed a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calabar in 2003.

Ms. Umeoji has extensive experience in various leadership roles, including her current position as Executive Director overseeing the Abuja and Middle Belt Zones. Previously, she served as the Executive Director in charge of Public Sector, where she was responsible for overseeing operations in Abuja, North, Middle Belt, and South-East Zones. Her exceptional skills in executive management have made significant contributions to the bank’s profitability.

Ms. Umeoji’s dedication to ongoing education is clear from her involvement in several offshore management programs, including renowned institutions like Harvard Business School and the Wharton Business School. She is a member of several prestigious professional bodies, such as the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
