Priscilla Shirer is an American author, speaker, actress, Christian media figure, and evangelist. She was born on December 31, 1974. Tony Evans is the leader of a big church in Dallas. Her brother, Anthony Evans, is a musician.
Biography
Tony Evans, the senior leader of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas, has a daughter named . Priscilla learned a lot about the Bible as she grew up. She worked as an intern at a Christian radio station when she was a student at the University of Houston. Soon, people were calling the station to ask Priscilla to talk at their Bible study groups and other events. Soon, she was asked by the Zig Ziglar Corporation to lead a weekly Bible study and then to join its team of speakers. Priscilla used to work as a freelancer for CBS and host a local TV show, but she has only been doing Christian ministry work for the past few months. She looks up to Anne Graham Lotz, who is the daughter of the preacher Rev. Billy Graham.
Together, the Shirers set up Going Beyond Ministries, which is Priscilla’s speaking agency. The Shirers are the parents of three young boys, and they both work in the church and take care of their family. While Priscilla keeps ministering full-time, Jerry takes care of his schedule and other Going Beyond Ministries work.
Priscilla talks all over the world at churches and other events, like the Going Beyond conference put on by LifeWay Christian Resources and Deeper Still:She shares the stage at The Event with Beth Moore and Kay Arthur. She has also written more than one book.
Shirer went to Duncanville High School and Dallas Theological Seminary. He got his master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Shirer went to the University of Houston for the first time in 1993.Shirer got married to Jerry Shirer, who used to be an executive at Hilton Hotels, in 1999. The man and woman have three kids.
Shirer spoke at the 2013 Women of Faith gathering that year. Shirer’s first movie was the Kendrick Brothers’ War Room, which came out in 2015. At the 10th anniversary of God’s Leading Ladies Life Enrichment Program at The Potter’s House in October 2016, Shirer was honored as one of four important women of faith. Shirer was a part of the 47th GMA Dove Awards as well.
