Bishop Francis Wale Oke- Televangelist And Founder Of Sword Of The Spirit Ministries

Francis Olubowale Aderibigbe Oke was born on September 8, 1956 and he’s presently 68 years old. He is a Nigerian author, educationist, and televangelist.

Ministerial Journey

Oke started the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, also known as Christ Life Church Worldwide and based in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is also the church’s Presiding Bishop. He is the person in charge of the Voice of the Lord show, which is shown on radio and TV places all over Nigeria. Bishop Oke is the leader of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria right now.He is also the Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University in Ibadan, which was started as a private university by the Sword of the Spirit Ministries in 2017.

Early Life

Oke was born in the village of Kasumu in the Egbeda Local Government Area of the Nigerian state of Oyo. He went to St. Paul Primary School in Kasumu and Ibadan East Community Secondary School before getting his General Certificate of Education at Wesley Teacher’s College in Ibadan. He then went to Polytechnic of Ibadan to continue his schooling. In 1978, he got into the University of Lagos, where he got a BSc in Land and Engineering Survey in 1982.

Personal Life

Bishop Francis Wale Oke is known as the 7th President of PFN [Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria] and also the Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University. Bishop is happily married to his wife Rev. [Dr.] Victoria Tokunbo Oke and have 2 children together. He graduated from the University of Lagos.

Dorcas Oke, his only daughter, died in 2001 after taking a drug that had been changed. In honor of his late daughter, Dorcas Oke, he set up the Dorcas Oke Hope Alive Initiative. Isaac Oke is his son.

Recognition

In November 1991, All Nations for Christ Bible Institute, which is part of Oral Roberts University, gave him an honorary doctorate for his important work in world evangelism.

He recently won a prestigious award from the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for his contributions to religious harmony and human progress.

Carrer Life

Bishop Oke started the Christ Life Church in 1989, after working for ten years all over Nigeria and other parts of the world. The church has grown quickly and now has over 200 branches all over Nigeria. Bishop Oke’s ministry is known all over the world because it has made a big difference for more than 33 years. His ministry has taken him all over the world to speak and teach the word of God, and the Holy Spirit has helped him do miracles, signs, and wonders. He is said to have chosen Olusegun Obasanjo to be Nigeria’s next elected president in 1999.

Since 1983, Bishop Francis has been in charge of the Holy Ghost Convention in Ibadan and, since 2003, he has been in charge of The Nigeria Turning Point Prayer Movement in Abuja. He is the radio and TV host of “The Voice of the Lord” and has written many best-selling books, such as “Alone with God,” “The Precious Blood of Jesus,” and “Go Forward.” He says that God has told him to help 100 million people get to heaven.

He is in charge of a daily show on the national radio and TV stations of Nigeria, FRCN and NTA, Ibadan. He started the Precious Cornerstone University and the International Bible College of Ministries and Seminary (IBCOMS). He has also been the national vice president of the South West Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
