Funke Felix Adejumo Foundation- Nigeria Female Preacher

Funke Felix Adejumo is a preacher, teacher, writer, marriage counselor, and helper who lives in Nigeria. She is the leader of the Funke Felix Adejumo Foundation, which works to make a difference in the world.

Funke runs several powerful programs for women because she cares a lot about women and wants to “Honor God and Bless Humanity.” She is in charge of putting together events like the Mothers’ Summit, the Winning Edge Conference, the Women in Leadership Conference, and many more.

Funke is definitely one of the women who loves being a woman and is happy to be living her role on earth.

Early Life Journey

Funke Felix Adejumo was born in Ibadan, Oyo state, on January 28, 1963. Because she was a girl, her birth caused a lot of trouble in the area. Her father was told that she “cannot” do well, so he shouldn’t send her to school or train her. But in spite of everything, Funke has kept making her family happy.

Funke had a hard time growing up because his family had trouble making ends meet. She went to a basic school and a high school in Ibadan, which was a good thing. Then, she paid for college herself with some help from her then-fiancé, who is now her husband. She studied English at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and got her degree.

Marital Status

Rev. Funke gave her life to Christ at age 14. She said, “When I was 14, I gave my life to Jesus. After that, my life changed, and it’s been getting better and better ever since.”

She is married to Felix ‘Remi Adejumo and they are very happy. They met in Ibadan in 1982 and swore to be married in 1984. Bishop Felix started Agape Christian Ministries Inc. and is also its Senior Pastor. The couple is lucky to have 4 children of their own, as well as grandkids and children they have taken in.

On August 12, 1989, in Ondo State, Nigeria, both Funke and her husband Felix were called as Ministers of God. They got the Best Couple Award in Ondo State at some point.

At first, after getting married, the family lived in Ibadan until her husband, Mr. Felix, heard from God that he should go into the church. After three years of trying to get his wife to agree with his vision to start his church in Ondo state, they finally moved there.

After some time, they had four people over to their house to get to know each other. Then, as their number grew, they moved to a new place. And the church started on August 7, 1988, at the Victory Nursery School in Akure.

Agape Christian Ministries is one of the most well-known churches in Nigeria today. It has branches in more than 30 places across the country.

Funke Felix Adejumo Foundation

Together with her husband, Adejumo has become a philanthropic force that helps people get money. Pastor Funke Adejumo is the head of a group that helps women called the Funke Felix Adejumo Foundation (FFAF).

She started it to help people who were living in poverty like she had been. Adejumo would rather help poor kids pay for school than have an artist make her clothes. Funke is also in charge of a home called Grace home. In 2003, she and her husband, Felix Adejumo, put up a hospital for kids. As time goes on, the number of kids they take care of grows.

She opened Another Chance Women’s Home not long ago. It is a place for women who have been abused at home and have nowhere else to go. There are places for these women to stay until they get better. Pastor Funke cares more about widows, single moms, wives, moms, and daughters than he does about guys.

Adejumo also teaches women how to do better in life, work, and love at conferences in their own countries and around the world.

Recognition

People in Nigeria think that Funke is one of the most important women there. The Awesome Treasures Foundation (ATF) gave her the Salt and Light Award in 2017.

Funke and her husband were also given honorary doctorates (Honoras Causa) in divinity by Faith University and Oral Roberts University.
